What type of home extension is better? Should I choose a brick or timber framed construction?

It will depend on your budget, taste, and circumstances, and on site conditions and site access.
You may want to construct your home extension in traditional cavity brick construction. Brick extensions are generally more expensive than timber framed, weatherboard extensions.
Timber framed extensions are generally:
- More economical.
- Faster construction.
- Strong and durable.
- Quiet.
- 6-star energy rated and insulated.
- H2 and H3 treated against white ant attack.
- Better for site access.
